Haylie Murphy is a dancer who strives to be her best every day by working hard at doing what she loves most. With her amazing work ethic, she has risen to the top and is committed to dancing professionally.

Haylie started dancing at the young age of three at Studio B Ballet Academy in Yuba City, California. She is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Hip-hop, and Tap. Growing up in a small town with only two dance studios, which were two completely different environments, she always had a love for dance that continued to grow each year. As she got older, she struggled with comparing herself to her close dance friends, which led her to fall behind. She didn't even realize it until she was placed in lower-leveled classes. Since then, she has overcome her mental block and has grown into an amazing dancer who has positively impacted many lives.

She has appeared in her studio's Nutcracker, starring as the Snow Queen, Sugar Plum Fairy, and Arabian. She was awarded Eurotard Dance Wear's 2023 Outstanding Senior Contemporary Soloist for her performance of a contemporary solo choreographed by Hannah Hawkins. She also received an Honorable Mention at California Dance Classics in 2023 for her contemporary solo. Haylie attended the Joffrey West Summer Intensive in 2023 and appeared in their Fusion performance.

Haylie's dance style is captivating because of the emotion she infuses into her storytelling. Her vulnerability creates a unique feel in the way she dances. While she gravitates toward lyrical and ballet, she also loves jazz. She enjoys telling a story to her audience and making them truly feel something and connect with her movements.

Haylie believes that a true dancer will work extremely hard to achieve their goals. Anyone can be a dancer, but it's the ones who work on themselves in their own time that stand out. Jilleen Menghini has trained Haylie for fifteen years and has played a significant role in shaping her into the dancer she is today. Menina Fortunato has been Haylie's mentor, guiding her to success in the business side of dance.

Haylie's ability to not only captivate an audience with her artistry but also inspire others is truly profound. She has developed a passion for becoming a storyteller through her movements. Haylie strives to be the best role model and dancer she can be for herself and anyone watching. She continues to work on becoming a better version of herself and doing what she loves most—dance.
